As First Nations and Inuit we are now entering an exciting time filled with opportunity as we travel the journey of economic reconciliation, inherent rights, Aboriginal Title and claims. There is much to understand and be informed about as we travel this journey.
This web site will focus on information about what is happening in First Nation communities across Canada including ours here at Pabineau First Nation. We will also provide information on what is happening in other countries affecting Indigenous Peoples.

The First Ministers Meeting dominated the news. The important issues discussed were overshadowed by comments about abolishing the Indian Act. Treaty communities from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta were more concerned about the Natural Resources Transfer Act and other communities were concerned about Bill C-39.
